AI chart of Ulysses characters

The Circe chapter of Ulysses features lots of characters from earlier in the book. I needed some help remembering them all, so I asked Gemini to draw a chart of all characters in Ulysses and their relationships.

Here is my first prompt:

It produced this chart.

First of all, I love the style: the yellowish background reminds me of an old drawing; the characters dresses and hairstyle is very much early 1900.
But, the chart itself has some issues: for example, characters are duplicated (e.g. Dennis Breen) and some relations seem wrong. I tried another prompt.

Nice chart. But some names appear twice like Ellen Bloom or Dennis Breen. Make sure to get the relationships right. I want you to add all Homeric parallel characters like circe Polyphemus, Hades etc

Better, but I don't see Polyphemus (The Citizen) or Circe (Bella Cohen). I don't know what Athena is doing there. Dennis Breen is still duplicated. I tried again.

Pretty much the same. I was hoping for something better from Gemini: after all, Ulysses is now in the open domain, and certainly part of Gemini's training data. I think curated diagrams, like the ones available at LitCharts are better. Will they always be better, or will Gemini (or other AIs) surpass the quality of curated content?
